LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform enabling active FIU faculty, staff, and students to discover and develop skills through an online library of high-quality expert-led videos. It has unique insights and will provide you with a more personalized learning experience that features instructional content relevant to your professional interests and goals.

You can access courses anywhere, anytime from your mobile devices, as well as your main computer. Available for both iOS and Android.

Whether its content to supplement your course, learn new skills or to to enhance your career/personal growth, LinkedIn Learning has differet ways to identify content. You can search for content that interests you or use the personalized recommendations based by LinkedIn data insights.

Apply new skills & Share

You can apply what you learned right inside of LinkedIn Learning with native practice tools, exercise files, templates, quizzes, etc.

Post your certificate of completion to your personal LinkedIn profile to share your progress and accomplishments.

How do I log into LinkedIn Learning?

You will always log into LinkedIn Learning with your FIU credentials.

Do I need to connect my LinkedIn account?

No, don't have to, but we strongly recommend it. If you choose to connect your LinkedIn account, you will receive additional benefits such as personalized recommendations for your skills and desired job title, as well as what is trending on LiL based on LinkedIn data. This will help us give you a learning experience tailored to your specific needs.

What if I don't have a LinkedIn account?

If you do not have a personal LinkedIn account, we will guide you through the steps of creating one when you activate your LinkedIn Learning account. Learn more about you LinkedIn account.

Common Issues

Who has access to LinkedIn Learning at FIU?

Only active employees and students have access to their FIU LinkedIn Learning account.

Can I get professional development credits with LinkedIn Learning at FIU?

Yes, employees will receive professional development credit hours for the duration of completed courses only. The training summary in PantherSoft is updated daily; however, it may take up to 72 hours for the courses to appear

Why is my FIU password not working when I log in to LinkedIn Learning at FIU?

If you connected your LinkedIn Learning and LinkedIn profiles, your password for LinkedIn Learning is your LinkedIn password.

How can I disconnect my LinkedIn Learning and LinkedIn profiles?

If you no longer want your personal LinkedIn account associated, Open an Incident in AskIT so we can assist you.

Privacy

Will FIU have access to my LinkedIn activity on my personal account?

No, FIU will not see your private LinkedIn activity. Because LinkedIn Learning is paid for by the university, FIU will ONLY be able to see your LiL activity (such as courses you've completed).

Do I control what is displayed on my LinkedIn account?

Yes, your LiL activity will not show on your LinkedIn account unless you choose to add a completed course.
